Howdy! Last weekend, we had a corproate visit to the European Commission in Brussels. The European Commission is the place where Laws are voted on (not created, that's parliament) The building that we went into was not that cool, it was just a Directorate General office building (the one in charge of education) so i am not including that... but here are a few amazing things I found in Brussels, Belgium:
Waffles.... (tasted like doughnuts)
Chocolate!...(very expensive, so i just looked)
Mussels!
-Yum!
-Yum!And an amazing town square that was covered in gold! (and very old)
Near the town square was lots and lots of food!
Mussels and fries are their specialty, and apparently, French Fries were invented in Brussels! There were so many shops all next to each other that they were bartering for our business as we walked by. The waiters would come out and say "eat here and first drink is free" and we'd be like no, and walk a few steps, and another waiter would come out of a different place and started insiting that if we went in their resteraunt that they would give us 2 free drinks... we ended up getting 2 free drinks and free desert of waffels (the first picture there). After dinner the group went out to a few clubs...in the morning a friend and I ventured out early-early to find waffels for breakfast! (the second picture)
We spent one night in Brussels and then headed on to Paris!!
