i wright this tired and worn out from the day's activities, and the day is not even over yet!! Today we woke up early and rode a bus to Versailles. When we got there the workers were on strike (how french) so we had to wait an hour for the negotiations before being let in the group entrance to begin touring the chateau. Despite the heat, the wait was worth it! When i get back to Strasbourg i will upload the pictures so that you can see but oh man it was beautiful! The hall of mirrors was most impressive along with the king's chamber where courtiers would fight over who got to dress him. we stayed a versailles for 2.5 hours and didnt get to see all of the gardens but the view from inside of the gardens was really neat
After Versailles, we were dropped off at the Louvre had lunch, then went inside. While inside, i saw worksby Da Vinci including the Mona Lisa, and many many many other romantic and classic artists. We also saw the egyptian exibit =amazing! and Nepolian III's apartment. it was amazing and when i say amazing i mean it was even more extravagent than the rooms in versailles!!
now we are back at the hotel resting before going out for dinner and a bike tour of paris
tomorrow i plan on seeing saint chappell and notre dame and well whatever i dont see tonight.
we ar leaving so ill ttyl
