Paris: Tour de Eiffel: May 27

I saw the Eiffel Tower! As you can see I was really excited about it. Okay so as I was wrapping up at the Musee D'Orsay, I met some art students from Missouri who were staying in town and ended up hanging out with them for my last night in Paris.
We went to this amazing italian pizza place where Frank Sinatra and Gregory Peck and Sofia L'oren have eaten at, and then after dark we went to the Eiffel Tower to watch it sparkle at the top of the hour. We had a couple bottles of wine and watched it until it turned off at 3am. :-) Apparently i'm really good at haggling with street venders when i've had a few glasses of wine...

Needless to say, I did not catch my 6:45am train to Strasbourg in the morning, but thankfully they refunded my ticket and I used a day of my Euro rail pass to get there.

Because it is my first time planning a trip, I ended up getting the dates wrong for my Study Abroad Program, and ended up arriving in Strasbourg a day ahead of my class and, at the complete gernerocity of the hotel, was able to stay the night at a greatly reduced rate.

Strasbourg is an amazing town with so much mixed german and french culture. Most of the Buildings in the town can be dated back to the 1400s when it switched from French to German and then back to French etc... I think they said it has switched 5 times in history. They have their own Language (pronounced Alsation... as it is in the l'Alsace Region of France) and have been dubbed the natural capital of Europe as it is in the center.
